Is It All Separate?

This blog was inspired after reading a part of Jack Kornfield's book A Path with Heart. If you haven't read it, I highly recommend it.

How many times do you walk out of a great yoga class or massage and feel calm, but then you go back to your life and think everything is hurried again? Have you ever thought any of these things- That was a great class, but that person was mean to me and ruined it all? If only I didn't have to come home to this? boy do I love Michael Pollan's work. He' s been working hard to translate good science into digestible (pun intended) information. Several years ago, after pouring over a mountain of research, he realized the secret of good eating was incredibly simple: "Eat real food, mostly plants, not too much." no hype, nothing to figure out. Meditation-in-Action class, January 3, 2010 3:30 to 5

Traditionally, many people take the advent of a new year as an opportunity to take stock of the year past and set new goals for the year ahead. In our January Meditation in Action class, we revisit the process of goal setting from a yogic perspective.

Whether you aspire to lose weight, exercise more, increase your income, decrease your debt, finish the creative project you’ve been… Continue

Those types of dana are, of course, meaningful and very important. However, if we check, we will see that other types of dana, such as offering one's time and kind words are perhaps even more meaningful and powerful. This world abounds with opportunities to practice dana. We need only be open and mindful enough to recognize those opportunities when the… Continue

When I find myself compartmentalizing my life, all that means is that I'm not living in the moment; I'm not letting things unfold in the here and now. Instead, I'm basing my perception of people, places and situations on memories and how things play…

When indecision is bothering you, this may help... a friend of mine share it with me. "Somewhere in the universe, this decision has already ben made for you.  It is just not time for you to know the answer." Hope this helps you as much as it did me.
